Webinar – Changing Perspectives: A New View of Credit Recovery

Description:

February 15, 2017

5:30 PM CT

Facilitator:  Will Luedtke, Credit Recovery Coordinator, Milwaukee Public Schools

Description

Students don’t receive credit for failed courses: a common policy.  However, systems thinking leads to a paradigm shift of how new processes are designed, implemented and assessed.  Checkpoints are clear to determine if changes are required, and multiple perspectives are considered to ensure that programs are given an honest chance for success.  This webinar will focus on how systems thinking led to a redesign of the credit recovery system in Milwaukee Public Schools, resulting in a substantial increase in the number of students receiving credits for courses they have previously failed.
