BOTGs and Computer Models to Increase Understanding
A student works on a Behavior-over-time graph (BOTG) to help understand some possible dynamics that led to the extinction of the wooly mammoth . The first activity was to simulate the herd population overtime using dice and making a table of the results. The table is then used to create the BOTG. A computer model is built and used to further study the question – Why did the mammoth go extinct?
